Grid Works Project Manager – Acate, Sicily (12‑18 month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Grid Works Project Manager to lead on‑site grid connection activities for a major renewable energy project in Acate, Sicily. This fixed‑term position (12‑18 months) will ensure safe, timely, and compliant delivery of works across the TSO substation, user step‑up substation, MV and HV cable routes, and related grid infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the client representative and site manager for all grid works, developing and monitoring the programme to meet energisation milestones.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Grid Manager, EPC contractor, TSO, and other stakeholders, chairing progress meetings and preparing reports.
• Manage technical submissions, approvals, and ensure documentation complies with Italian regulations and project specifications.
• Oversee on‑site construction, inspections, testing, and hold points for HV and MV infrastructure, verifying contractor performance and payment milestones.
• Promote a strong safety culture and support the HSE manager in risk identification and mitigation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing grid connection projects in the renewable energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of Italian grid regulations, TSO processes, and HV/MV infrastructure.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage risks, and communicate with external authorities.
