Guest Experience Ambassador – F&B Host/Hostess

About the role

The Guest Experience Ambassador joins the Food & Beverage team at The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection hotel in Venice. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will welcome guests, manage reservations and ensure a seamless dining experience for both local and international visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and supervise the restaurant entrance.
• Handle reservations by phone, email and in‑person, recording guest preferences.
• Answer and process guest calls, messages, requests and concerns promptly.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu and service standards.
• Coordinate with the Events team and other departments for VIP guests, special celebrations and private events.
• Provide directions and information about the restaurant and hotel facilities.
• Support management with reasonable tasks as required.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Understanding of luxury hospitality and F&B operations.
• Previous experience in a similar host/hostess role, preferably in fine‑dining.
• Warm, people‑oriented demeanor with a team‑player attitude.
• Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills.
