Head of Communications & PR, Italy

About the role

Deliveroo is looking for a Head of Communications & PR, Italy to join its Rome or Milan team. The role sits in the International Communications team and acts as a strategic partner to the Italian General Manager and local leadership. It is a hybrid position focused on building the public narrative, strengthening brand positioning and protecting the company's reputation in a key international market.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute local communications and PR strategies aligned with global goals, shaping consumer, policy and merchant narratives across Italy
• Lead crisis communications and manage sensitive topics in close alignment with local and global teams
• Build relationships with key Italian media, act as a spokesperson and coach local leadership for interviews
• Direct the local PR agency to run creative, digital-first B2B and B2C campaigns across earned and owned channels
• Partner with Policy, Legal, Marketing and Operations to turn complex platform and economic topics into clear public messaging
• Use AI tools to make work more efficient, impactful and creative

Required profile

• Significant experience leading external communications, crisis management and media relations in-house or within an agency
• Bilingual fluency in Italian and English, able to explain complex topics to diverse audiences
• Proven ability to manage agency partners and navigate matrix environments with senior internal stakeholders
• Established relationships with Italian media, journalists, content creators and commentators
• Nice to have: strong understanding of the technology, marketplace or delivery platform sectors

What we offer

• Pay range of EUR 90,400 to EUR 113,000, depending on skills, experience, qualifications, location and market conditions
• Possibility of an equity award grant of restricted stock units at start and during the annual pay review cycle
• A hybrid working arrangement
