Head of Ecommerce

About the role

ghd is seeking an experienced and results‑driven Head of Ecommerce to own and accelerate the growth of its Direct‑to‑Consumer business. You will be responsible for the full commercial performance of ghdhair.com, leading a small team and ensuring the brand’s digital presence delivers strong turnover, profitability and brand consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the ecommerce strategy, commercial plans and operational roadmap.
• Own ecommerce turnover, margins and profitability targets.
• Manage the digital activation and promotional calendar, demand planning and forecasting.
• Oversee end‑to‑end website management, including homepage, category pages, product detail pages and promotions.
• Conduct continuous conversion rate optimisation (CRO) testing and performance analysis.
• Collaborate closely with Digital Marketing, PR, Social and Influencer teams to optimise traffic quality, ROAS and overall profitability.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of two ecommerce specialists.
• Perform market analysis and competitor benchmarking to identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in ecommerce leadership, preferably within a consumer‑goods or beauty brand.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue and margin growth.
• Excellent analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
• Leadership skills to manage and develop a small high‑performing team.
