Industrial Controller (OpEx & CapEx)

About the role

The Industrial Controller will report directly to the Industrial Controlling Director and will be responsible for managing both operational and capital expenditures for the shoes and leather goods business in Italy. This role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑term planning (3‑year/5‑year) for OpEx and CapEx.
• Analyze actual versus budget variances and prepare detailed reports with commentary for senior management.
• Ensure investment proposals are supported by robust business cases and ROI analyses.
• Oversee operating costs such as electricity, rent, security, cleaning, maintenance, staff training, vehicle fleet and tools.
• Monitor monthly financial analyses to optimise expenses against budget.
• Provide timely and accurate financial reports to top management.
• Address internal audit requirements and ensure compliance with financial deadlines.
• Track project progress against budget, evaluating deadlines, costs and returns.

Required profile

• Direct reporting line to the Industrial Controlling Director.
• Responsibility for managing OpEx and CapEx for shoes and leather goods business.
