Industrial Development Technical Leader

About the role

Ceva Animal Health is recruiting an Industrial Development Technical Leader (M/F) for its Global Industrial Development department, based at the Porto Empedocle plant in Sicily, Italy. You will play a central role in the industrial transfer of strategic projects, especially new products and technology transfers, overseeing the technical aspects of product manufacturing from the I&D development phase through industrial launch, site transfers and change control.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the industrialization strategy and contribute to process selection using a Quality by Design approach
• Coordinate I&D and industrial teams (production, purchasing, quality assurance, quality control, maintenance)
• Write risk analyses, protocols and reports for process optimization and validation, and review the master batch record
• Monitor batch manufacturing in compliance with GMP and analyse results
• Ensure product compliance, EHS rules, project costs and timelines, and the integration of technical and regulatory updates
• Take part in supplier and process change validations and troubleshoot production issues
• Supervise galenic/industrial trials and risk analyses (FMEA)
• Contribute to drafting procedures, audits, inspections and documentation follow-up

Required profile

• Master's degree (MSc, engineering degree or equivalent) in biology, chemistry or pharmacy
• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in roles related to production systems
• Knowledge of GMP rules and of injectable processes and their regulatory framework
• Experience in project management, team coordination and/or transversal management
• Fluent English, occasional availability for shift work and travel
