Insurance Business Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Insurance Business Auditor to join the Group Head Office and Thematic Audit function. The role involves conducting audits across life, non‑life, pension, reinsurance and distribution lines, ensuring compliance with internal methodologies and European regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake insurance business audits (Life, Non‑Life, Pension, Reinsurance, Distribution, etc.) including Head Office and cross‑country audits.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit methodology, risk management standards and external Italian/European requirements.
• Support the Audit Manager/Head of Function in preparing audit reports, quarterly and ad‑hoc reporting.
• Perform risk assessments and develop risk‑oriented audit programmes.
• Contribute to data‑analytics testing and analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance or Actuarial Science.
• 4–5 years of hands‑on experience in internal or external audit or key insurance functions (underwriting, claims, product development, reinsurance, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of insurance processes (life, health, P&C, reinsurance) and EU IDD/POG regulations.
• Proven ability to evaluate and enhance internal controls, conduct risk assessments and execute audits.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of presenting complex information to senior stakeholders.
• Fluent English.
