Integrated Strategy Leader (Ophtha)

About the role

Roche is seeking an Integrated Strategy Leader for Ophthalmology to define and execute the local strategy for its portfolio in Italy. Reporting to the Integrated Portfolio Strategy Head, you will lead a cross‑functional squad and collaborate with global teams to drive commercial and patient value.

Key responsibilities

• Set the overarching vision for the product/solution portfolio and act as the primary strategist for the disease area.
• Build, lead, and evolve a cross‑functional squad without direct line authority, defining outcomes and co‑creating integrated strategies.
• Coach squad members and the broader organization, championing diversity and inclusion.
• Maintain revenue and volume forecasts, direct strategic investments, and define initiatives for short‑ and long‑term outcomes.
• Collaborate with Global Product Strategy, Pharma International, and key affiliates, aligning high‑impact work packages.
• Ensure compliance with ethics, safety, and patient‑centric decision making.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of multidisciplinary experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Deep knowledge across multiple disease areas, product lifecycle stages, and competitive markets.
• Proven track record in customer‑facing roles (sales, marketing, medical, or access) with strong business results.
• Leadership experience mobilizing people and systems with or without line authority.
• Exceptional presentation skills for senior management and external stakeholders.
• Fluent in Italian and English, with willingness to travel up to 30% globally.
