Internal Communications & Media Relations Specialist

About the role

As an Internal Communications & Media Relations Specialist you will support top management in shaping and delivering clear, consistent messages across the organisation. You will also act as the primary contact for South Tyrol media and lead crisis communications for the Brand & Corporate Affairs team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior leadership in preparing executive messaging, all‑hands presentations and leadership narratives.
• Design and continuously improve transformation communication formats that make organisational change understandable for employees at all levels.
• Lead the company intranet project as project manager, overseeing concept development, stakeholder coordination and implementation together with IT.
• Develop and execute a content and channel strategy to boost communication effectiveness and employee engagement.
• Innovate internal communication tools, including the intranet, to enhance knowledge management and connectivity.
• Create and distribute communication content across internal channels, ensuring clarity, consistency and multilingual reach.
• Manage South Tyrol media relations, handling press inquiries and maintaining corporate reputation.
• Own crisis communication for the Brand & Corporate Affairs team, establishing protocols and coordinating stakeholder responses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in a similar corporate or agency role, preferably with executive communications exposure.
• Proven ability to design communication programmes for organisational change.
• Strong knowledge of internal communication strategies, tools and best practices, especially intranet platforms.
• Fluency in German and English; Italian is a plus.
