Italian AI Language Expert (Remote, Freelance)

About the role

We are seeking native‑level Italian speakers to evaluate and improve AI systems that generate and teach Italian. Your linguistic expertise will directly influence how AI understands, produces, and delivers Italian language content to learners worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Assess AI‑generated Italian speech and text for accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality.
• Review learner submissions across CEFR levels Pre‑A1 to B2+ and identify errors or unnatural phrasing.
• Provide actionable feedback to enhance AI tutoring and language‑learning models.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native fluency in Italian.
• Experience teaching Italian or evaluating learner language.
• Strong written communication skills in Italian and English (C1/C2).
• Solid understanding of CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns.
• Enrolled in or completed a bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment.
