Junior Business Controller

About the role

illycaffè, a globally recognised Italian coffee company, is looking for a Junior Business Controller to join its Finance team. The role focuses on delivering accurate business and financial performance data to support fast decision‑making and value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Drive volume and net‑sales analysis, full P&L forecasting, strategic planning, budgeting and target setting.
• Prepare and ensure accurate reporting, including the Corporate Monthly Package and local controlling activities.
• Monitor discounts, rebate accruals, net pricing and support P&L estimates for new product launches.
• Manage the Order‑to‑Cash process, including customer conditions, rebate control and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audit activities and ensure compliance within Order‑to‑Cash.
• Provide ad‑hoc business analysis such as item profitability, customer profitability and promo effectiveness.
• Oversee marketing expense reporting and ensure credit‑management policies and KPIs are applied.
• Assist purchase‑to‑pay activities, including invoice verification and booking.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive attitude and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Familiarity with financial planning and controlling tools.
