Junior Consultant – Financial Services

About the role

KPMG Advisory is seeking a Junior Consultant to join its Financial Services team in Rome. You will support banking and insurance clients on business process re‑engineering, digital transformation and strategic growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Define strategic development and growth opportunities for banking and insurance firms.
• Develop industrial and business plans, and conduct feasibility studies for new products and ventures.
• Manage complex strategic reorganisation transactions and business integration deals.
• Design and implement business strategies for major financial institutions, including distribution network redesign, marketing plans and pricing models.
• Perform market, benchmarking and evolution analysis of key financial sectors.
• Define operating models and performance‑improvement programmes, leveraging innovative technological solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Management Engineering, Finance, Management or a related field with a focus on financial services.
• Strong organisational and teamwork abilities, attention to detail and capacity to prioritise multiple complex tasks.
• Excellent command of English, preferably supported by study or work experience abroad.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
