Junior Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Embedded Software Engineer to join our Electronic Drives R&D team in Genova. You will work on firmware for Texas Instruments TMS320 DSP processors, contributing to the development of industrial drives and inverters.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for industrial drive systems.
• Implement and modify firmware features in C for microcontrollers and real‑time embedded systems.
• Debug and troubleshoot software in lab and prototype environments.
• Support software validation, functional testing, and documentation.
• Translate technical requirements into clear software specifications.
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of communication protocols such as Ethernet, EtherCAT, CAN/CANopen, and RS232.
• Collaborate with hardware, test, quality, and support teams across multiple countries.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Experience or strong interest in embedded systems software development.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work in multicultural, international teams.

Required skills

• C programming language.
