Junior Ready-to-Wear Designer

About the role

Vivienne Westwood is seeking a Junior Ready‑to‑Wear Designer to join its Milan studio. The role supports the design team in creating seasonal RTW collections, translating creative concepts into technically finished garments while respecting the brand’s heritage and sustainability values.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Design Director, Artistic Director and Creative Director throughout all phases of collection development.
• Conduct research on historical costume, tailoring, archive pieces and sub‑cultural influences.
• Develop draped and constructed silhouettes and produce technical flats and CAD drawings.
• Collaborate with pattern cutters on toile creation, fittings and documentation of changes.
• Prepare and update tech packs, product specifications and material research, including fabric and trim development.
• Maintain archive references and ensure consistency with brand identity.

Required profile

• Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating tailoring, drape and construction skills.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Attention to detail and proactive, team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience with CAD drawing tools.
• Knowledge of garment construction and pattern cutting.
• Familiarity with CLO 3D (a plus).
