Junior Software Engineer Internship

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join MotorK’s AI‑native platform team for a six‑month internship. You will work on real‑world features that power automotive manufacturers across Europe, collaborating with senior engineers and distributed teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship new features for MotorK’s core platform used by automotive manufacturers.
• Participate in the full software lifecycle: implementation, code review, testing, and deployment.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools such as Cursor, Claude, and Copilot to improve development speed and code quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams across multiple European offices.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated coding experience beyond coursework (personal projects, open‑source contributions, or previous internships).
• Strong problem‑solving instincts and clear English communication skills.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of PHP and Python.
• Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices and cloud platforms.
• Experience with relational or document databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Exposure to Java or Go is a plus.
