Lead Design Engineer – Renewable Energy

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Design Engineer to drive the electrical design of renewable energy projects, including utility‑scale photovoltaic farms, agrivoltaic installations, rooftop solar systems and battery‑energy‑storage (BESS) projects. The role combines detailed engineering, documentation and coordination to deliver EPC‑ready solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for PV, agrivoltaic, rooftop solar and BESS projects across LV, MV and HV networks.
• Create layouts, single‑line diagrams, technical reports and construction documentation.
• Prepare detailed and executive design packages for EPC contractors.
• Coordinate technical aspects with clients, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Support technical proposals, supplier RFQs and component selection.
• Monitor project progress and assist on‑site when required.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Energy, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical design for photovoltaic projects, preferably utility‑scale (10 MW+).
• Fluent Italian; English is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, PVcase and PVsyst.
• Proficiency in electrical design for LV, MV and HV systems.
• Ability to produce technical documentation, schematics and single‑line diagrams.
• Experience with EPC design packages and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
