Lead Engineer – Subsea Distribution Systems

About the role

Join the Baker Hughes Subsea Engineering division as a Lead Engineer focused on Subsea Distribution Systems. You will drive the design and development of integrated subsea products that enable safe, efficient and sustainable offshore hydrocarbon production.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical requirements from customer specifications and ensure compliance with international codes and standards.
• Lead CAD modelling and creation of design documentation, aligning deliverables with project schedules.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to manage interfaces, design reviews and engineering plans.
• Monitor budgets, execute cost‑out activities and track progress of engineering milestones.
• Provide technical guidance to suppliers, ensuring contractual and technical compliance.
• Support program management, procurement, manufacturing and testing of designed products.
• Offer consultancy advice during project bids.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in mechanical design for subsea or offshore applications.
• Strong ownership mindset and proactive attitude.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Effective interpersonal and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Expertise in 3D CAD modelling.
