Logistics Project Engineer – Greenfield Project

About the role

Nestlé Purina is launching a new manufacturing site in Mantova and seeks a Logistics Project Engineer to lead the planning, installation, commissioning and start‑up of a large‑scale automated warehouse and fulfillment centre. You will coordinate mechanical, electrical, automation and logistics disciplines to deliver a high‑performing, fully integrated logistics facility.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver capital projects safely, on time, within budget and to required quality standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across civil, mechanical, electrical, automation and logistics.
• Integrate automated warehouse systems (ASRS, material handling), controls and digital platforms (YMS, WMS, SAP, BMS).
• Oversee commissioning, qualification, validation and start‑up activities through operational handover.
• Manage contractors, suppliers and system integrators, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, environmental and sustainability requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering project execution, automation, logistics or industrial operations.
• Proven experience delivering capital investment projects in manufacturing, logistics or distribution environments.
• Fluent in English and Italian.

Required skills

• Warehouse automation technologies (ASRS, automated material handling systems).
• Integration of WMS, SAP, BMS, PLC and SCADA platforms.
• Project management of multidisciplinary teams.
