Logistics Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Logistics Specialist to join Hempel’s Logistics department in Italy. Working closely with the Logistics Manager for South‑East Europe, you will support factories in Italy, Turkey and other locations, ensuring smooth flow of products through the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and analyse logistical resources required to move assigned products, guaranteeing efficiency, timeliness and compliance with legal and quality standards.
• Maintain and analyse inventory parameters such as stock quality, shelf‑life, coverage groups, reorder points and minimum stock levels.
• Create purchase orders, monitor safety stock and demand, and ensure on‑time, full deliveries.
• Supervise invoicing and financial reserves for transport costs, and implement corrective actions based on critical metrics.
• Develop and maintain a master schedule covering transportation routes, carriers and cost‑effectiveness.

Required profile

• Strong planning, problem‑solving and self‑learning abilities.
• Experience in inventory replenishment, warehousing, purchasing, shipping and transport.
• Ability to adapt to change with energy, positivity and a goal‑oriented mindset.
• Fluent communication in Italian and English; Turkish is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience using the Dynamix system.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (advantageous).
