Maintenance Manager (Chief Engineer) – Luxury Alpine Hotel

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager (Chief Engineer) to lead the technical operations of Le Massif Courmayeur, a luxury mountain hotel in the Italian Alps. Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure that all facilities run safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all maintenance and technical activities across the property.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Supervise external contractors and service providers.
• Manage the maintenance budget and control departmental expenses.
• Ensure optimal performance of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Monitor and report energy consumption (electricity, water, gas).
• Procure materials and maintain technical inventory.
• Coordinate maintenance work with other hotel departments.
• Guarantee compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar hospitality maintenance role (Chief Engineer, Maintenance Manager, or Assistant).
• Strong technical background, preferably electrical or mechanical.
• Familiarity with Italian regulations and safety standards.
• Hands‑on, proactive, and solution‑oriented attitude.
• Excellent organisational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Italian; additional languages are a plus.
• Eligible to work in Italy and preferably based in Courmayeur or the Aosta Valley region.
