Maintenance Operator – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Maintenance Operator will provide technical support for all hotel systems, equipment and facilities at Aman Venice. Working closely with the Maintenance Team, you will lead operations, handle complex repairs and ensure the property remains in pristine condition for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform skilled repair and maintenance of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Assist with preventive maintenance activities for guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Respond promptly to guest room breakdowns, complex service requests and engineering requests from other departments.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness, organize tools and record maintenance logs, spare‑part usage and problem reports.
• Act as shift‑in‑charge when the Supervisor is unavailable.
• Support fire and life‑safety tests, including alarms, sprinklers, pumps and emergency lighting.
• Report any abnormalities in equipment or building structure.

Required profile

• Strong multi‑technical ability with a good knowledge of hotel maintenance standards.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proactive attitude and capacity to follow instructions efficiently.
• Willingness to take responsibility for shift leadership when required.

Required skills

• Electrical repairs (sockets, switches, lights, fuses).
• Plumbing repairs (leaks, blockages, fixtures).
• Preventive maintenance of hotel systems.
• Fire and life‑safety system testing.
