Maintenance Technician

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician at Givaudan’s Caronno Pertusella site, you will ensure the reliable operation of industrial process equipment and utilities. You will work on day shifts with on‑call availability for nights and weekends, supporting production continuity in a fast‑paced food‑ingredients environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, utilities and plant systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures, collaborate with production and maintenance teams, and restore operations quickly.
• Install, repair, adjust and maintain pumps, gearboxes, compressors, valves, fans, piping, pneumatic and other industrial equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics and documentation to carry out work safely.
• Document work orders, spare parts usage and follow‑up actions in the maintenance management system.
• Support reliability improvement by reporting recurring issues to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, EHS, Quality and external contractors as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping, safety and hygiene standards during and after maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Experience in process industries such as food ingredients, chemicals or pharmaceuticals.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PES, PAV, PEI) for electrical safety, or equivalent.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance of pumps, compressors, gearboxes and valves.
• Electrical maintenance and interpretation of schematics.
• Pneumatic system troubleshooting.
• Welding and pipe‑fitting.
• Reading and using technical drawings and documentation.
• Use of maintenance management software.
• Knowledge of safety and EHS regulations.
