Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure optimal operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities within Hitachi Energy’s industrial environment. This position is essential for minimizing downtime and supporting productivity across manufacturing and operational sites.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs.
• Perform routine inspections, adjustments, and calibrations to keep machinery within specifications.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Document all maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with production teams to limit operational disruption.
• Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout and confined‑space entry.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and manage tools and spare parts.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as schematics and blueprints.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Physical capability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and operate in varied environmental conditions.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
