Major Account Manager - Italy

About the role

Sonar is seeking a Major Account Manager to drive growth within strategic accounts in Italy, focusing on upselling and cross‑selling our AI‑powered code verification solutions to finance and retail customers.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new opportunities and manage the full sales cycle for enterprise‑level upgrades, including quoting, negotiating and closing deals.
• Lead strategic client engagements such as Quarterly Business Reviews, demonstrating compliance benefits (DORA, CRA, OWASP) and the value of AI‑enhanced secure coding.
• Develop deep relationships with technical and business stakeholders, becoming their trusted advisor on clean code and application security.
• Collaborate with marketing to design targeted campaigns for banking and retail sectors.
• Maintain accurate account activity and forecasting in Salesforce.com.

Required profile

• 7+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience selling technical products to technical buyers and executive sponsors.
• Proven ability to manage large enterprise accounts, navigate complex sales cycles and negotiate deals over £250k.
• Strong understanding of Secure DevOps principles and compliance standards such as DORA, CRA and OWASP Top 10.
• Exceptional communication skills with C‑level contacts and a proactive, customer‑centric attitude.
