Managing Director – Italian Operations

About the role

AliveShoes is seeking a seasoned Managing Director to lead and scale its Italian operations. Based in the Marche region, you will oversee the supply‑chain, production and design units in Marche and Abruzzo, ensuring seamless coordination with the global team.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily operational functions across supply chain, production, customer service and design for the Italian business.
• Lead HR activities for the Italian unit, supporting local leaders and managing talent.
• Coordinate Italian, Dutch and US entities on finance, fiscal compliance, monthly P&L, balance‑sheet reporting and overall financial oversight.
• Optimize workflow of supply‑chain operations, implement cost‑control measures and pricing strategies.
• Maintain and develop relationships with production partners and suppliers.
• Collaborate closely with the founders (CEO & CTO) to align Italian activities with the company’s global strategy.
• Travel regularly between the Marche and Abruzzo sites.

Required profile

• Proven senior management experience in operations, preferably within fashion, footwear or related manufacturing.
• Strong background in finance and fiscal management, including P&L and balance‑sheet responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead HR functions and manage cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent decision‑making and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑growing environment.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
