Material Scheduler – Inventory & Planning Specialist

About the role

Alstom is looking for a Material Scheduler to join its Services team in Nola, Italy. You will be responsible for defining and executing material scheduling and inventory strategies that meet customer needs while aligning with internal constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Guarantee material availability through accurate needs scheduling and follow‑up.
• Improve service performance by optimizing inventory coverage and reducing stock‑outs.
• Define order‑reorder strategies, set part categories (ABC, variability, business type) and plan line replenishment.
• Provide forecasts and priority lists to the sourcing department for contractual supply decisions.
• Implement action plans and continuous improvements in the planning process.
• Support global planning by defining MRP parameters and ensuring SAP data accuracy.
• Analyse inventory content, support finance on depreciation calculations, and drive inventory reduction initiatives.
• Measure supply‑chain performance and generate analytical reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in material scheduling or inventory planning.
• Fluent Italian and good English communication skills.
• Flexibility, teamwork orientation, result focus, problem‑solving mindset and proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM (Material Management) and MRP parameters.
• Experience with inventory management and forecasting tools.
