Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop and design special‑purpose machines and assemblies for our international production sites. You will work from concept through commissioning, turning customer requirements into functional, cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design machines and assemblies according to customer specifications.
• Create 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials.
• Specify, dimension, and procure machine components.
• Develop technical concepts and devise design solutions.
• Lead sub‑projects and coordinate with project management.
• Communicate technical requirements with customers and suppliers.
• Oversee projects from concept phase to commissioning.
• Optimize existing designs for functionality, quality, and cost.

Required profile

• Completed technical training and professional experience in machine design.
• Proficiency with a 3D CAD system such as SolidWorks or Inventor.
• Knowledge of machine components, manufacturing technology, and technical standards.
• Independent, structured, solution‑oriented work approach.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good German language skills; English is a plus.
