Mechanical Engineer – Military & Defense Applications

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and customization of generators and material handling equipment for military and defence applications. The position is based at our headquarters in Casole d'Elsa, Italy, and works within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project development ensuring timelines and specifications are met.
• Create detailed construction drawings for machines.
• Prepare bills of materials and technical specifications.
• Communicate component traceability, criticality, assembly cycles and serial‑plate data to relevant departments.
• Participate in testing and inspection activities to verify machine performance.
• Validate product compliance with applicable standards.
• Maintain technical files, spare‑parts lists and use‑and‑maintenance manuals.
• Manage document updates and change requests.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience as a designer, preferably in a military or defence environment.
• Fluent English and proficient use of Microsoft Office.
• Strong ability to work in a team and deliver results.

Required skills

• SolidWorks (or equivalent 3‑D CAD software).
• FEM simulation tools.
• Knowledge of quality‑system procedures.
