Mechanical Engineer – Space Mechanisms

About the role

Revolv Space is developing next‑generation subsystems for small satellites to enable continuous spacecraft operations. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design, prototype, and test space mechanisms and related ground support equipment, working closely with the Head of Mechanical Systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prototype mechanical and electromechanical systems such as spacecraft mechanisms, robotic components, structures, and ground support equipment.
• Analyse and validate designs through testing, including structural, vibration, and thermal assessments.
• Create detailed design documentation and 2D drawings of mechanical parts.
• Participate in assembly, integration and testing (AIT) of prototypes and ground equipment.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Structural, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in autonomous mechanical system design, preferably mechanisms.
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient English communication skills (spoken and written).

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools, specifically Autodesk Inventor.
• Mechanical design and prototyping expertise.
• Knowledge of structural mechanics, vibration analysis, and heat transfer in space applications.
• Testing and validation of mechanical systems.
