MEMS Designer – Accelerometers

About the role

The MEMS Designer will join Bosch Sensortec’s Milan Design Center, focusing on the development of accelerometer sensors. You will be responsible for designing MEMS structures that meet specific customer requirements and for driving innovation in simulation and algorithm development.

Key responsibilities

• Design MEMS structures for accelerometers, considering mechanical and electrical behavior.
• Perform model‑based simulations to optimise designs and analyse cause‑chain reactions.
• Develop new optimisation algorithms and improve simulation methods.
• Coordinate design and simulation tasks and collaborate closely with project management and technology development.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
• Fluent English (minimum B2); German is a plus.
• 3‑5 years of experience in MEMS design for inertial sensors, including cross‑functional teamwork and lab experiments.
• Autonomous, self‑organised working style with strong presentation abilities.

Required skills

• MATLAB programming.
• Python programming.
• Finite Element Simulation tools (FEM).
• Simulink.
• AI methods (preferred).

What we offer

• Gross annual salary between €50,000 and €60,000 for a 40‑hour week.
