Middle School Teacher (Cover)

About the role

Florence Bilingual School, a bilingual Italian/English school founded in 1973 and part of the Cognita Schools group since 2021, is looking for a Middle School Teacher to cover for a few hours when substitutions are needed. The school wants teachers who want to support its team during short-term absences.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons using a range of teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Foster a positive classroom environment built on high expectations, creativity and strong relationships.
• Monitor and assess student progress, give timely feedback and contribute to reporting and wider school activities.
• Work with colleagues and engage with parents to support each student's academic and personal development.
• Take part in school events, trips and professional development, and uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times.

Required profile

• A relevant degree and teaching qualification.
• At least two years' experience in a classroom setting.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to create an inclusive, well-managed learning environment.
• Adaptable, collaborative and motivated to develop your practice.
• Dedicated to supporting students' wellbeing and progress.
