Operational Construction Manager (M/F/D)

About the role

We are looking for an Operational Construction Manager to lead construction activities at our supplier site in Monfalcone, Italy. You will ensure projects meet safety, quality and operational excellence standards while coordinating contractors and supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with BH Health, Safety and Environment Management System and promote a strong safety culture on site.
• Support and actively participate in construction activities, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure readiness and proper planning.
• Monitor construction progress and contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and support improvement initiatives.
• Assist the QA/QC team, prepare non‑conformance reports and follow up corrective actions.
• Maintain effective communication with customer representatives to resolve field issues.
• Coordinate subcontractors to guarantee clear execution, alignment with project requirements and timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate construction documentation and reporting.

Required profile

• Alignment with Baker Hughes values: Lead, Collaborate, Grow and Care.
• Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline.
• Solid knowledge of workplace health and safety standards and practices.
• Experience in construction activities, site operations or production environments.
• Familiarity with fabrication processes, welding, dimensional controls and painting supervision, preferably in oil & gas.
• Working knowledge of quality standards such as AWS, ASME, API and basic understanding of NDE methodologies.
• Experience working within structured and matrixed organizations.
• Fluent in English.
