Performance Marketing Specialist – Milan (12‑month contract)

About the role

Canva is looking for a Performance Marketing Specialist to join its Italy growth team. In this role you will drive incremental user growth by making data‑driven media buying decisions, shaping creative strategy and ensuring a seamless post‑click experience for Italian users.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day media buying, optimisation and pacing across Meta, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn for the Italian market.
• Translate Italy’s growth priorities into media mix, budget allocation and experiment roadmap in partnership with global growth teams.
• Run incrementality studies, interpret Marketing Mix Models and use Mobile Measurement Partner data to calibrate performance.
• Turn performance data into creative insights and work with Growth Creative pods to iterate video and creator assets.
• Manage creative rotation, scale top‑performing assets and flag refresh needs.
• Evaluate audience segmentation, targeting and bidding strategies, proposing experiments and improvements.
• Collaborate with data and creative teams to drive CRO initiatives and improve post‑click experiences.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in performance‑driven media buying.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with creative, data and growth teams.
• Familiarity with the Italian digital advertising landscape.

Required skills

• Media buying on Meta, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn.
• Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and incrementality analysis.
• Mobile Measurement Partner (MMP) data handling.
• Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) across paid channels.
• Audience segmentation, targeting and bidding strategy development.
