PEX Engineer – Production Excellence (Taranto)

About the role

Vestas is seeking a PEX Engineer to drive operational excellence within its Taranto manufacturing plant. You will support the implementation of standard work, visual management, and lean tools to improve cost efficiency and production performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage activities to achieve target levels of standard work on both new and existing production lines.
• Monitor and analyse production KPIs and cost targets, providing data‑driven insights.
• Deliver technical support and training to production teams on standard work and line setup.
• Support Process Excellence initiatives to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Create visual management tools and standard work documentation on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with Logistics, Quality, and Production functions on cross‑functional projects.
• Promote a leadership culture and continuous‑improvement mindset among operational teams.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience with Lean and problem‑solving tools (DM, Takt, PDCA, 5 Why, VSM).
• Background in manufacturing operations and 5S implementation.
• Lean Yellow Belt certification.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

• MS‑Office suite.
• SAP.
• AUTOCAD.
