Pharmacovigilance Physician

About the role

The Pharmacovigilance Physician will work on‑site in Turin or remotely on a part‑time basis, contributing to the safety surveillance and risk management of medicinal products throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Medical review and evaluation of individual case safety reports (ICSRs).
• Signal detection, assessment and documentation.
• Preparation or review of periodic safety reports (PSURs, PBRERs, DSURs) and risk management plans.
• Provide medical and scientific input for benefit‑risk evaluations, safety summaries and regulatory authority responses.
• Collaborate with Regulatory, Medical Writing and Quality teams to ensure compliance with global safety regulations.
• Support audits, inspections and continuous improvement of pharmacovigilance systems and documentation.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with full eligibility to practice.
• Proven experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety within pharma, biotech or CRO environments.
• Strong knowledge of EU and international pharmacovigilance regulations, GVP guidelines and ICH standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical‑thinking and communication skills.

Required skills

• Medical review of safety data.
• Safety‑related writing (PSUR, PBRER, DSUR, RMP, safety narratives).
• Use of safety databases and signal detection tools.
• Knowledge of EU pharmacovigilance regulations and GVP guidelines.
• Familiarity with ICH standards.
