About the role

The school is seeking a Phonics Lead who will also teach and act as an EAL/Support Teacher. This full‑time position starts on 26 August 2026 and offers the chance to shape phonics instruction while supporting English language learners in a vibrant, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve the phonics curriculum for primary learners.
• Deliver high‑quality phonics and EAL lessons, monitoring student progress and providing targeted interventions.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to integrate phonics strategies across subjects.
• Support new and existing students with varying levels of English proficiency.
• Participate in extracurricular and creative projects that enhance the school community.
• Contribute to staff professional‑development sessions and share best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
• Proven experience leading phonics instruction and literacy development.
• Demonstrated ability to support EAL learners in an international school setting.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
