Planning Manager

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Planning Manager to lead end‑to‑end supply chain planning within its international manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Site Supply Chain Director, you will coordinate demand management, master scheduling, and detailed sequencing to ensure seamless material flow and production performance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct rough‑cut capacity planning, capacity levelling and feasibility checks.
• Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule and Monthly Supply Plan, monitoring short‑term constraints such as maintenance, line trials, material issues and resource availability.
• Lead stakeholder alignment activities, detailed scheduling, and bulk batch allocation.
• Oversee the Master Scheduler team, manage process order release and monitor end‑to‑end supply‑chain performance.

Required profile

• Degree in economics, engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in planning, demand/supply planning, production planning or supply‑chain management, preferably in a multinational, regulated environment (pharma, biotech, healthcare or industrial manufacturing).
• Proven ability to work in complex, matrixed, international settings and to lead cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP PP and MM modules.
• Experience with scheduling/advanced planning systems and capacity‑production planning tools.
• Advanced Excel proficiency; familiarity with Power BI or ClickView for reporting and analytics.
• Experience with ERP systems and demand‑planning/S&OP tools.
