PLC Controls Technician – Manufacturing Automation

About the role

As a PLC Controls Technician at Bosch Group in Florence, you will design, program, troubleshoot and maintain Siemens S7/TIA Portal‑based control systems that drive our manufacturing equipment. You will work directly with production teams to ensure equipment reliability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, program and maintain PLC systems following corporate standards.
• Develop and support HMI applications for manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex automation issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Modify PLC programs and manage communications with industrial devices.
• Diagnose and resolve vision system problems (Cognex, Keyence).
• Maintain and troubleshoot servo drives (Rexroth, Siemens) and FANUC robots.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and operations to improve equipment performance.
• Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and general maintenance tasks.
• Provide feedback to engineering on recurring issues and improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Technology or equivalent.
• 3+ years experience in industrial automation and maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to resolve root‑cause issues.
• Willingness to work rotating shift schedules.
