PLC Engineer

About the role

Scalian is seeking a PLC Engineer to join its automation team. You will work on warehouse control systems, performing functional and safety testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting. The role offers a technical challenge while providing exposure to a variety of client projects across Italy and abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct functional and safety test & commissioning for warehouse control systems.
• Perform I/O testing, debugging, and verification of technical criteria.
• Install and start‑up PLC programs on automated machinery.
• Develop and follow quality assurance procedures to meet project standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic components.

Required profile

• Engineering degree, preferably Electrical or Software Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PLC engineering or a similar automation role.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time within Italy and internationally.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills.
