Process Support Unit Lead

About the role

The Process Support Unit Lead oversees manufacturing support operations to ensure compliant, efficient, and cost‑effective delivery of high‑quality pharmaceutical products. The role partners with Manufacturing leadership to drive continuous improvement, support product launches and strategic projects, and develop the support team.

Key responsibilities

• Translate strategic goals into actionable plans, set priorities and measurable outcomes while developing team capabilities.
• Lead the support team on the shop floor, conduct daily walkthroughs, coach staff and allocate resources to meet operational demand.
• Oversee production support activities ensuring on‑time execution in compliance with GMP, HSE, 6S and documentation requirements.
• Review production schedules, evaluate capacity and align staffing and resources with business priorities.
• Drive Operational Excellence initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, quality and overall performance.
• Support product launch activities, CapEx projects and other strategic initiatives.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for products and processes, providing guidance and problem resolution.
• Support S&OP by providing operational data and collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required profile

• Scientific, Engineering or related degree.
• Solid experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, production support, engineering or quality environments.
• Proven leadership and people‑management experience.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HSE, quality systems and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
