Procurement Value Analysis & Value Engineering Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Value Analysis and Value Engineering professional to join our headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese. Reporting to the Head of General Procurement, Systems & Processes, you will drive cost analysis, support innovation evaluation and define trade‑offs between variable and fixed costs throughout product lifecycles.

Key responsibilities

• Support design‑to‑cost activities during concept, development and life‑cycle phases.
• Perform detailed cost analysis on variable and fixed costs based on technical requirements.
• Evaluate cost relations according to projected production volumes.
• Use group tools to build waterfall analyses and detailed cost elements.
• Provide calculations for green/brown‑field and R&D cost components.
• Assist series buyers in negotiations with cost expertise during business assignments and modifications.
• Identify, evaluate and implement cost‑reduction ideas from early development through post‑SOP.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Automotive or related).
• At least 5 years of experience in automotive cost engineering or cost analysis.
• Proficiency in English; German is a plus.
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing technologies such as powertrain, electrification and hybridisation.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
