Product Designer – High-End Physical Products

About the role

Patricia Urquiola Studio is seeking a Product Designer to join its Milan‑based Product Design team. The role focuses on the creation and development of high‑end physical objects such as furniture, lighting, accessories and homeware for an international clientele.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct visual, material and product research, tracking trends, production techniques and material innovations.
• Develop concepts through sketches, moodboards, AI‑assisted tools, 3D models and physical references.
• Create detailed 3D models, renderings and presentation visuals using Rhino, KeyShot and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Collaborate with clients, internal designers, artisans, manufacturers and suppliers to refine prototypes and guide them to production.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in product design and development, preferably in furniture, upholstered furniture, lighting or other high‑end objects.
• Strong awareness of contemporary design, material innovation and production processes.
• Proactive problem‑solver able to anticipate challenges and propose technically sound solutions.
• Fluent in English; Italian is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Rhino.
• Proficiency in KeyShot.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with AI‑based research or visualization tools (optional but valued).
