Product Designer II

About the role

Mollie is looking for a Product Designer II to shape the experience of merchants using its Dashboard and mobile app. You will work closely with product managers and engineers to turn complex financial workflows into simple, delightful interfaces that help European SMEs manage money effortlessly.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a design strategy for the Merchant Experience domain, moving from research to visual design.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to prototype, test, and launch new financial products.
• Run design experiments, validate assumptions with data, and iterate quickly.
• Contribute to and evolve the company design system to improve quality and delivery speed.
• Champion design excellence and challenge the status quo across the organization.

Required profile

• Strategic mindset with the ability to simplify complex problems into elegant solutions.
• Strong interaction and visual design sensibility for complex UI challenges.
• Experience conducting user research, prototyping, and rapid validation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, or similar).
• User research methods and validation techniques.
• Design system creation and maintenance.
