Product Development Manager

About the role

Groupe SEB is looking for a Product Development Manager to lead a development team that delivers innovative small domestic appliances and cookware worldwide. You will ensure products meet regulatory, quality, and marketing requirements throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the team’s activity to develop new products, product extensions, modifications, and second‑source approvals while following the EPO development process.
• Contribute to the product roadmap in line with business unit and Group strategies.
• Set and monitor objectives, work standards, and continuous improvement initiatives for the team.
• Foster team dynamics through communication, training, feedback, and performance reviews.
• Plan and control the budget and resources allocated to development projects.
• Act as a liaison between management and the development team, conveying strategic messages.
• Monitor technological trends, support patent filing and renewal, and analyse competitive products.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance within the team’s activities.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Quality, Innovation, Purchasing, Logistics, and external suppliers.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading product development teams in an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
• Ability to define and execute development roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
• Excellent budget and resource management skills.
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
