Production Director – Tuscany, Italy

About the role

The Production Director will lead the strategic and operational management of manufacturing across two Celine plants in the Chianti region. Reporting to the LG Industrial Director, you will ensure that production meets volume, quality, timing and efficiency targets while fostering a culture of safety, innovation and agility.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all manufacturing processes at the Radda and Strada plants.
• Oversee daily and weekly production planning, scheduling and workflow optimisation.
• Drive continuous‑improvement and agile transformation projects using Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Ensure compliance with the highest quality standards and implement robust quality‑control processes.
• Generate KPI reports on efficiency, quality and safety, presenting analyses to senior leadership.
• Maintain full health‑and‑safety compliance and promote a safe working environment.
• Lead and develop a team of production managers, supervisors, technicians and approximately 400 artisans.
• Manage recruitment, training, workforce planning and talent development.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior production or manufacturing leadership within a multi‑plant environment.
• Strong track record of meeting volume and efficiency targets.
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Excellent analytical skills for KPI reporting and decision‑making.
• Deep knowledge of health, safety and quality regulations.
• Ability to lead large, diverse teams and foster professional growth.
• Effective collaboration with supply‑chain, quality, industrialisation and external suppliers.
