Production Manager – Leather Goods Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Manager will lead the leather goods manufacturing unit in Strada in Chianti, ensuring that production targets for quantity, quality, timing and efficiency are consistently met. This role combines hands‑on supervision with strategic planning to maintain a safe, motivated, and high‑performing workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the entire leather goods manufacturing process to achieve volume and efficiency goals.
• Manage a team of 4 Production Supervisors, approximately 130 artisans, and an industrialization technician.
• Set productivity targets for each manufacturing team and monitor daily/weekly production plans.
• Produce progress reports on efficiency, KPIs and quality standards.
• Communicate issues and updates regularly to upper management.
• Ensure staff scheduling, recruitment, cross‑training and development plans are executed.
• Maintain compliance with safety and health regulations.

Required profile

• University degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar production management role within an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Strong communication abilities and fluency in English and Italian; French is a plus.
• Proven leadership, coaching and team‑building capabilities.
