Production Operator – Mechanics

About the role

Alstom is looking for a Production Operator – Mechanics to join its railway signalling manufacturing site. The role involves assembling and completing electromechanical and hydraulic actuators used in signalling systems, working on a lean‑designed production line or work cell.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and complete products according to technical drawings.
• Operate basic machining equipment such as lathes and milling machines when required.
• Maintain a clean and efficient workstation, removing scrap and waste.
• Perform occasional routine maintenance tasks.
• Follow all EHS procedures and wear prescribed personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a production or assembly environment, preferably in the metal‑mechanical sector.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings.
• Attention to detail, problem‑identification skills and ability to follow written instructions.
• Team‑oriented attitude and professional seriousness.

Required skills

• Mechanical assembly of components.
• Reading technical drawings.
• Use of measurement and torque tools.
• Operation of traditional milling and lathe machines.
