Program Manager – Aerospace Projects

About the role

SPACE INDUSTRIES S.p.A. is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead complex technical programs in the aerospace sector. The role serves as the primary interface between customers and internal functions, ensuring delivery against cost, schedule, quality, and risk objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full program lifecycle from planning to closure.
• Define, maintain, and control schedules, milestones, budgets, costs, and performance indicators.
• Ensure on‑time, on‑cost, and on‑quality delivery aligned with contractual commitments.
• Act as the main programmatic interface with customers and lead program reviews.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and industrial partners.
• Manage program changes, risks, and opportunities with appropriate mitigation actions.
• Provide structured, data‑driven reporting to senior management and customers.
• Support proposal and bid activities with execution strategies, milestone plans, and risk assessments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of program management processes and tools.

Required profile

• Approximately 10 years of professional experience in program or project management within complex technical or industrial environments.
• Proven responsibility as a Program Manager, Technical Program Manager, Project Manager, or equivalent.
• Background in space, aerospace, automotive, or other highly regulated, technologically complex sectors.
• Experience managing customer relationships and coordinating multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
