Project Engineer – Battery Energy Storage Systems

About the role

NHOA Energy is seeking a dynamic and technically strong Project Engineer to join its Engineering team. You will work on the delivery of complex utility‑scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, acting as a key interface between engineering, project teams, and stakeholders in a fast‑paced EPC environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with project owners, partners, and internal/external stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Coordinate engineering and design activities for BESS projects in collaboration with the Engineering Manager.
• Prepare, submit, and track engineering deliverables using SharePoint, Aconex, 3DEXPERIENCE, or similar document management systems.
• Ensure fit‑for‑purpose procurement of battery storage equipment and compliance with project specifications.
• Monitor and control engineering progress against schedule, handling RFIs and design change requests.
• Support civil and local system design (noise mitigation, firefighting) in line with local regulations.
• Assist installation activities (civil and electrical) and participate in commissioning phases.
• Collaborate with commissioning teams and deliver training to partners and stakeholders.
• Manage red‑line and As‑Built documentation and maintain lessons‑learned registers.
• When required, act as Engineering Manager, leading design activities across the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in EPC delivery of BESS or similar large‑scale energy projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on documentation and compliance.
• Willingness to take on engineering leadership responsibilities during execution.
