Project Engineer – Filling & Retorts (Greenfield Project)

About the role

Join Nestlé Purina Italy’s Greenfield project in Mantova as a Project Engineer focused on filling, packing and retort equipment. You will lead design integration, installation and start‑up of capital investment projects, ensuring compliance with Nestlé standards, local regulations and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare technical designs, User Requirement Specifications, cost estimates and project schedules for filling and packing equipment.
• Coordinate suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders during installation, testing, FAT/SAT and commissioning.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, maintain action plans and ensure timely delivery within budget.
• Support operations during qualification, start‑up, ramp‑up and hand‑over, delivering all required documentation.

Required profile

• ~3 years experience in capital‑investment projects within the food industry.
• Proven ability to manage project scope with minimal supervision and to lead cross‑functional teams.
• Experience with filling, packing, HFFS machines, dosing units, automatic handling systems or sterilizers is a plus.
• Fluent English; Italian knowledge is an advantage.
